To help the Millsaps Business School recruit for its upcoming fall Business Advantage Program, The Ramey Agency created a landing page that promotes the program through testimonial videos of previous program participants and serves as a portal to the Millsaps College website.
Ramey Farms, our rooftop organic garden, continues to produce a bounty of vegetables and cut flowers for friends and family. Members of the agency formed a co-op this spring, to share in the expenses and labor of our first rooftop garden experiment.
Mississippi Development Authority is on its way to the Farnborough International Airshow, an aerospace and aviation trade show in England this week. Ramey designed the trade show booth with their new branding imagery, and created an aerospace-focused brand video.
The Tommy Ramey Foundation will endow scholarships at three Mississippi universities totaling $1 million, with the goal of educating and inspiring the state’s next generation of marketing and culinary professionals. Gifts to the University of Mississippi, Mississippi State University and Jackson State University were formally announced this week.
Ramey’s new site for Viking Commercial launches today, featuring a wealth of content from Chef Thomas Keller and Bouchon in Beverly Hills. Ramey spent two days at the restaurant filming interviews, photographing slide shows, and capturing cooking demonstrations from Chef Keller and his team.
Working with director Jim Smith, Ramey employed motion control techniques to shoot a recent commercial for the Home Buyer Advantage Program. The program, which is being overseen by the Mississippi Development Authority, provides grants up to $40,000 to qualified homebuyers purchasing abandoned or foreclosed homes.
Ramey’s Jackson, Little Rock and Memphis offices participated in our monthly staff gathering to share a “Digital Dish.” We heard about some of the innovative digital projects coming down the Ramey pipeline, as well as some of the bleeding-edge technologies still a few years out. Chefs from across the nation gathered at the Monterey Bay Aquarium this week for Cooking for Solutions, the annual event focusing on sustainable seafood and organic agriculture education and awareness. Again this year, The Ramey Agency supported The Catfish Institute (TCI) in their efforts to promote the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish industry.
Benjamin Brown, executive chef at Pebble Beach Golf Resort, and Cameron Hamilton, executive chef for Google Inc., offered tastings of Tequila Catfish Tacos with Tomato and Avocado Salsa, along with Catfish Tostadas with Spicy Cabbage Slaw, Spring Onions and Green Garlic, while representatives from TCI were on hand to answer questions and provide information about the domestic catfish farming industry.
The aquarium’s Seafood Watch program has, since its creation, recognized U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish as a “Best Choice” in its sustainable seafood guide, making this event a permanent part of TCI’s marketing campaigns for the past several years. Several Rameyites with particularly green thumbs have completed Phase I of the Ramey Rooftop Garden. Plans are for tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, squash, zucchini, green onions, marigolds, petunias and sunflowers. Maybe even more.
