The Ramey Agency won three awards in the 2010 District Seven ADDY® Awards competition. Gold went to both the McAlister’s Tea Freaks website and the McAlister’s “Sweeten Up” campaign. Silver went to the Mississippi Arts Commission multimedia mailer promoting their Business Recovery Grant Program.

Yesterday, during Ramey Crawfish Fest, more members were inducted into Ramey’s X Club – recognizing those staff members who have been with the agency 10 years or longer. Four Rameyites hit their 10-year mark recently – Chad Tyler, Merinda Jordan, Keith Thrash and Patsy Cotten (not pictured). Congratulations and here’s to 10 more!

The Ramey Agency had another great showing this year at the 2010 Addy Awards. Even though you’ll only see the client’s name listed, what you won’t see are the long hours, the attention to detail, the strategy, the production techniques, the rounds of revisions, the proofing, the tension, the scheduling, the billing, the media placement, the passion and client collaboration that encompassed us over a year’s time. The Ramey Agency is now featured on the Web site This Ain’t No Disco (It’s Where We Work), which offers a curated look at the interior design of creative agencies around the world. Vote for us or leave a comment! Ramey’s interior will also be featured in the upcoming book, “Where We Work,” showcasing 45 of the world’s most inspiring work environments. It’s due out in stores and online April 2010.

Two Ramey hotel clients have been named to the 2010 Condé Nast Traveler Gold List, which represents the best places to stay in the world, selected by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler. The Alluvian hotel is one of our favorite places when visiting client Viking Range – or just for a weekend getaway. And our friends at Blackberry Farm, for whom we managed editorial tours 2004-2006, run an extraordinary property where we go to escape. A warm congratulations to all of our colleagues at both properties for this well-deserved recognition.

At The Ramey Agency’s recent holiday party, two employees received X Club awards. Ramey launched X Club to recognize those staff members who have been with the agency 10 years or longer. Mark Moore got his XX for 20 years of service, and Ted Hill reached his 10 year anniversary. Congratulations! Ramey now has 5 employees with over 10 years of service, and 3 employees with over 20 years under their belts.

We are delighted that our friends at Travel+Leisure have recognized our friends at the Southern Foodways Alliance with a T+L Global Vision Award. (Gives us another reason to hoist a tin cup of moonshine at the Po’ Monkey 2010 event.)

Ramey salutes our clients at Viking and our partners at Lokion for the top ranking in Luxury Lab’s just-released 2009 Digital IQ Study. The study establishes a metric that quantifies digital competence (“Digital IQ”) for many of the luxury industry’s iconic brands. Viking’s digital marketing efforts were ranked number one in its category. Canizaro Cawthon Davis, architects and interior designers based in Jackson, have recently been honored with The Award of Excellence for interior design by the Delta Region Chapter of the International Interior Design Association. The award – the highest presented by the chapter – went to CCD for the design of The Ramey Agency. Ramey’s interior reflects the high energy and creative work that makes the firm successful. Ramey client, Viking Commercial, won a Kitchen Innovation Award at the National Restaurant Show in Chicago today. Ramey launched a new Viking Commercial site this week in advance of the show.
