Mississippi Arts Commission Multimedia Mailer

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

The Ramey Agency developed a multimedia mailer for the Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) to talk about their successful business recovery grant program for artists on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. MAC not only gave out grants to these artists, but also offered business workshops to help them recover and even grow. In addition to helping economic recovery, this program also ensures that the cultural heart of the community doesn’t move elsewhere. Through the use of print and video, the artists themselves told their stories making a personal and emotional case for the program. This mailer was delivered to the highest levels at the Department of Labor, and received comments such as, “It just blows away everyone who views it.” Watch the full video with all the artists’ stories.
